Michel Maeso is a singer, songwriter and a multi-instrumentalist. Michel has been writing songs for over 20 years. The Beatles, Earth, wind and Fire, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Steely Dan, and more; I was attracted to great music no matter the style.” Michel has been recognized by numerous song writing competitions such as John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Billboard Song Writing Contest as well as winning Garageband track of the week and Bam Magazines Battle of the bands. What makes Michel unique is his history of entrepreneurial business success. Michel was the former Vice President of Sales for Speedera Networks known for Internet based content delivery services for such customers as Sony Music, Fox, ifilm, Doubleclick (now part of Google), and HP. In just over 2 years, Michel led Speedera from a valuation of $13 million to being sold for what was valued at over $800 million within the first year’s sale to Akamai Technology (Nasdaq: AKAM). Michel followed as Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing for Vitalstream which streamed content for ABC Radio, Disney, Spike TV and Viacom. Michel was instrumental in the sale of Vitalstream to Internap (Nasdaq: INAP) for $242 million in 2008. Most recently leading as Vice President of Sales and Field Operations for Cotendo, a Sequoia and Benchmark backed company. With great customers like Facebook and Twitter selling again to Akamai for $296 million. Now spending more time with his first love, Michel has been focusing more on songwriting and recording. ” I really feel happiest when I am writing and playing music.
